Custom work is most of what we do. Here is how it runs, from the first message to the finished part.
1 — Send us the shape
A drawing is ideal. A sample is fine. A dimension scribbled on a photo is enough to start. We would rather look at something rough and tell you early that it will not work than have you spend money on a formal drawing first.
2 — We tell you what is possible
We check whether the part can be machined from a solid pressed block, and whether the features you want will survive being cut. If something cannot be done, we say so at this stage. That is not us being difficult — it is cheaper for both of us than finding out later.

3 — Material and grain
This is the decision that most affects how the finished part looks. You choose the colour. You can ask for the grain to run a particular way, or to be as open or as tight as we can make it. If you need two parts that match, tell us now — that means cutting them from adjacent positions in the same block.
4 — Machining and finishing
We cut from solid rather than moulding to shape. It is slower and it wastes more material, but the edges come out clean and the tolerances hold. Finishing is done by hand, and the surface is checked as it comes up rather than at the end.

5 — One-off or short run
Both. A single part is a normal order here, and so is a short run of the same part in matching material. What we do not do is large-volume production — that is a different business and we are not set up to pretend otherwise.
Getting started
Send us the shape, the size, and the colour. We will tell you what is possible, what it costs, and how long it takes.
